Dance and theater have always been a passion for James. He first started acting in elementary school. He started dance a few years later with the Tsoyah Native American Drum and Dance Team, learning about the various styles of Native American dance with a main focus on Grass Dance. He was able to participate in many pow-wows and even competed in some. In 2002, he won 4th in the South East Division. Branching from there, James started taking classes at Covenant School of the Arts where his extreme passion for Ballroom began. He then went on to Lakeway School of Ballet and Dance and started Tap, Irish, Hip Hop, and Ballet; and became an assistant instructor. He had the privilege of being a part of Downtown Dance Theatre, functioning as assistant director, assistant choreographer, and in the final year Co-Artistic Director. He is currently on the company with Encore Theatrical Company and has worked as Dance Captain and Choreographer.
