Anna Katherine Brady is looking forward to teaching Dance Elite’s youngest students this season.  She has danced since the age of four at various studios across the region, studying in Tap, Jazz, Irish, Pointe, and primarily Ballet.  She has been with Dance Elite since 2017 and was honored to dance principal roles in their past three Spring Performances: “Bright Lights, Big Cities” (Truly Scrumptious), “Love is in the Air” (Marian the Librarian), and “It’s the Hard-Knock Life” (Fairy Godmother).  She has also participated as a member of the award- winning Elite Company, the studio’s competitive team, for their 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 seasons.  Prior to her studies at Dance Elite, she was given the opportunity to dance alongside professional ballerinas through the Moscow Ballet’s Dance with Me program in their performance of The Nutcracker in 2014 at the Tennessee Theatre.  In addition, she has performed with Downtown Dance Theatre in their 2010 production of The Nutcracker and with Greenville’s Central Ballet in their productions of Cinderella (2016)and Sleeping Beauty (2017).  In the spring of 2019, she was awarded First Place for Performance Art at the local Rose Center’s Bravo Awards.

Outside of dance, she has enjoyed her experience with the Teen Board Organization of Knoxville as a debutante at their 2019 Presentation.  She is also a graduate of Youth Leadership Hamblen County, Class of 2019.  She attends Morristown West High School, where she served as President of the Junior State of America Club and is a member of the Astron Yearbook Staff.  She has also appeared in a few theatre productions over the years, with her debut in Encore’s The Sound of Music in 2009 and several other performances with Manley Baptist Church. She is excited to work with young, aspiring dancers over the next season and strives to teach, encourage, and inspire them to perfect and appreciate the arts while fostering the discovery of their artistic potential and their individual talents and gifts.
